Call Provision in morgage lending notes

Last modified November 27, 2023

The Call Provision or Due on Sale clause, or acceleration clause generally speaking mean the same thing in a Mortgage Note. These clauses in a mortgage note or trust deed stipulate that the entire debt is due immediately if the mortgagor defaults under the terms of the contract. Since First Time Home buyers generally don't realize this, they should speak with their Mortgage Lender and/or realtor to understand the implications of these very important clauses.
